Program Notes:
What are your favorite shapes of clouds in the sky? Pigs, puppies, cats, or flowers? There are so many possibilities, and anything you can think of is possible! These shapes, however, could not exist without the four basic forms of clouds: cirrus, cumulus, nimbus, and stratus. cloud SHAPES (2024) is a love letter to these four shapes, paying homage to the delicate cirrus clouds, the puffy cumulus clouds, the expansive stratus clouds, and the rainy nimbus clouds. Each movement focuses on exploring the shapes and atmospheres of these clouds.
