Program Notes:

 

Orbweb was written for and read by the Ulysses String Quartet at the Setnor School of Music. This piece depicts the weaving of an orb-web and showcases the independence yet synergy of a spider's body parts during this process. Each instrument acts as a different part of the orb-weaver spider, with Violin I representing the head, Violin II the legs, Viola the silk, and Cello the abdomen.
